Future physicians are systematically introduced to pediatric radiology and can reinforce their knowledge in internships and clinical rotations. Special lectures are devoted to important topics like "Fit for the Night Shift" or "How to Write a Scientific Paper." For the past 15 years we have also offered online courses in which our students can network with colleagues throughout the world.
We support students at the start of their working life not just by teaching aspects of diagnostics but also by integrating them into research during diploma theses and supporting and encouraging them to put their research findings up to discussion at scientific events. The division also coordinates an exchange program made up of 55 institutes in 15 countries (www.ceepus.info). In July we host "Educational Courses Multidisciplinary - Pediatric Medicine" with partner clinics for students from all continents. Universities in Canada and Australia also recognize this course for their students. All these activities make it possible for students to exchange and network with each other and also contribute to improved international understanding.
The wide range of professional development opportunities at the Medical University of Graz is directed at a variety of occupational groups in the fields of medicine, science and research, nursing and health services. Most of the professional development courses can be completed while the participant is regularly employed and provide him/her with a valuable additional qualification.
